Issues Firefly Patent
The United State Patent and Trademark Office granted
US Patent No. 7212932 titled, "A
Method for Emulating Visible Electromagnetic Spectrum Emissions
of Member Species of Arthropoda: Insecta: Coleoptera: Lampyridae."
The Allowed Patent Claims cover both the Device and Methodology
used to accurately recreate, mimic, imitate, and
emulate the flash rate timing, duration, delay, decay,
and fade patterns unique to each Lampyridae (Firefly) species
through the use of microprocessor/microcontroller technology.
